I’ve just completed another course with Roxanne Evans Stout, entitled A Book of Trees and again it was such fun to do. It is the sort of book that you can keep adding to and I am sure there will be more words.
I used watercolour paper as the substrate and then covered each page with either pieces of fabric or paper (mainly mulberry papers) or I coloured the page before adding the collage layers, stamped images, pieces of leaf and twig and more colouring. There are various flaps that open to reveal other images and a little bit of stitching. The front cover has its own little book in the top left corner that reveals an image of a blue tit on the actual cover. The whole book is bound with leather cord over a hazel stick at the front.
