This summer I took a course with Fibre Arts Takes Two - The Way of Wabi Sabi Collage with Donna Watson.  Wabi Sabi encompasses the idea that nothing is perfect or permanent and how to find beauty in the ageing process, especially in Nature. 

The pages are a mix of papers, different weights and include some thicker papers bought in Japan.  The idea was to include images from all my trips to that country and I have just enough pages left for what will be my fifth visit next month.

I wanted to dye some papers and I also wanted to eco print in a turmeric bath, over dyeing with indigo.  The end result was this book, using papers, fabrics and various other bits and pieces.  Most of the circles were obtained by clamping before dyeing and I also used a hole punch as I constructed the book.
