This is a landscape using encaustic wax – a layer of mixed paper bits, followed by pieces of fabric, mark-making, inks and white wax. I love the result. Working in a grid, using the butterfly as symbol. Again, a mixture of papers, paint, inks, mark-making and journaling.

Layers of light – plaster and encaustic wax
This is my first attempt at using encaustic wax. It is not at all easy to get a smooth finish and hopefully I will improve. Using plant material that was not quite flat might not have been such a good idea either. However, I quite like the compositions. More experimentation needed.
